يذكر ان شركة التنقيب الأسترالية سنتامين مصر عللت عن السبب في تراجع أرباح مصر من ذهب منجم السكري بنسبة تخطت 53% خلال فترة النصف الأول من العام الحالي 2022، بسبب ارتفاع سعر أوقية الذهب علي المستوي العالمي والمحلي ،وهناك سبب آخر وهو ارتفاع أسعار السولار العالمية والمحلية، والتي الزمت الشركة بدفع قيمة السولار بالسعر العالمي، وصعوبة مد خراطيم الغاز الطبيعي سبب طول المسافة، وأيضا التكلفة الكبيرة لتنقية الذهب، وصعوبة التنقيب عن الذهب في وسط تلك الاحجاز الكبيرة وندرتة مقارنة بالأعوام السابقة.

يذكر أنه مقارنة بعام 2017م والتي وصل الانتاج الي 92.8 ألف أوقية فى أعلي مستويات انتاج الذهب من منجم السكري  حسب قول الرجحي,  وهو ما تجاوز 500 ألف أوقية ذهب تعادل 15 مليون جرام من الذهب , وناتج تكسير صخور بأقل من العام 2022 , والذي من المرجح أن يلعب دوراً هاما فى ارتفاع سعر جرام الذهب خلال الأيام القادمة.
