وأعرب قادة وزعماء مختلف دول العالم ومنهم الرئيس المصري عبدالفتاح السيسي عن تأثرهم الشديد وتأثير رحيل الملكة علي شعوبهم، وأكد اكثر من رئيس من أن ذلك صدمة للعالم كله وليس للملكة فقط .

ومنذ وفاه الملكة تفتح الباب أمام مرحلة جديدة في تاريخ بريطانيا وتحديدا العرش الملكي الذي جلست عليه الملكة لأكثر من 70 عاما حيث من المنتظر أن يعتلي العرش الأمير تشالز الثالث. فبعد أن انتظر من العمر حتي وصل الي سن 73 عاما  طول انتظار، عُين الأمير تشارلز البالغ من العمر 73 عامًا ملكا لبريطانيا والذي قلما أحبه شعبه أو حتى فهمه وفي هذه السطور سنتعرف علي أهم المحطات في حياة الملك الجديد :

اهم التواريخ في حياة الملك تشارلز الثالث :

  • 14 /نوفمبر 1948: ولادة الأمير تشارلز فيليب آرثر جورج أمير إدنبرة في قصر باكنغهام، ليصبح الثاني في ترتيب ولاية العرش البريطاني.
  • 6 /فبراير 1952: وفاة جده الملك جورج السادس. أصبحت والدته الملكة إليزابيث الثانية. في عمر الثالثة، بات الأمير تشارلز الوريث المباشر للعرش.
  • أبريل 1962: التحق بمدرسة غوردونستون الداخلية في اسكتلندا.
  • 1/يوليو 1969: والدته تُتوِجُّه أميرا لويلز في حفل متلفز في قلعة كارنارفون.
  • 1970: تخرَّج في جامعة كامبريدج.
  • 1971-1976: التحق بالبحرية الملكية البريطانية.
  • 29 تموز/يوليو 1981: تزوج من ديانا سبنسر في احتفال بكاتدرائية القديس بولس بلندن في حفل حضره نحو 750 مليون مشاهد حول العالم. وقد أصبحت ديانا أميرة ويلز.
  • 21/يونيو 1982: ولادة الأمير وليام.
  • 15/سبتمبر 1984: ولادة الأمير هنري (الملقب هاري).
  • 9 الأول/ديسمبر 1992: انفصل رسميا عن ديانا.
  • 28/أغسطس 1996: وقّع الطلاق من ديانا التي ظلت أميرة لويلز.
  • 31/اغسطس 1997: وفاة ديانا في حادث سير بباريس. تشارلز يصر على دفنها مع مرتبة الشرف الملكية.
  • 9/أبريل 2005: تزوج من كاميلا باركر بولز في وندسور.
  • 8/سبتمبر 2022: الأمير تشارلز يصبح الملك تشارلز الثالث بعد وفاة والدته الملكة إليزابيث الثانية.

وطبقا للدستورد البريطاني أصبح تشارلز الثالث ملكا لبريطانيا فور وفاة الملكة فقد تم تنصيبه بشكل رسمي وليا للعهد في يوليو من عام 1958 .
